Learning and Development Manager - Manufacturing

POSITION PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for the oversite of all aspects of Factory related employee training including, qualification processes, trainer development, budgeting, planning, coordination, and record keeping.
The Training Manager serves as a coach and mentor to the Training Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Operations Training Annual Training needs analysis, development of Factory training budget and training plan.
Track and maintain Factory Training Plan updates.
Develop in-house factory specific training programs to meet Factory Training Plan requirements.
Supervisor the maintenance & on-going development and delivery of Induction Training package.
Deliver Training as necessary.
Source external / internal training resources to meet Factory Training Plan requirements.
Develop /maintain training tracking and record keeping systems to track training.
Coordination of OJT and any associated follow-up activities Oversee and assist with Factory OJT Operator training programs.
Development and ongoing maintenance of Operator qualification standards and processes.
Supervise & direct Lead Trainer activities.
Coach and develop Lead Trainers and others responsible for the delivery of training within the operation.
Proactively foster and promote the safe work habits of employees.
Ensure proper safety policies and procedures are followed.
Active participation in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization in the drive towards zero incidents.
Administrative functions of a supervisory role, such as time keeping, vacation planning, taking call-ins and finding replacements.
Development, training and ensuring associate completion of required trainings (e-learnings and other core and additional trainings).
Support and drive interdepartmental initiatives for Safety, QA, Costing, and H.
R & Maintenance.
Record Keeping and Reporting Oversight and support of reporting of Factory Operator qualification system Supervise the maintenance of Training records and tracking systems Development and maintenance of Training related procedures.
Oversee development and maintenance of Factory operational Standard Operating Procedures.
Reporting of weekly Training hours and QCDSME Rpt.
Additional Operations Support Kaizen participation Site policy and program development and implementation (in areas that will drive or impact training activities) Participate in monthly GMP inspections & follow-up Sensory panel member HACCP Team Member Factory systems DSO Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
