Our medical practice is dedicated to providing the best possible care to our patients in a compassionate environment.
This is a great opportunity for a personable and articulate person who is organized and self-motivated.
We are looking for someone who can provide backup as a receptionist as well as help with patient care including obtaining vital signs, interviewing patients and assisting the nursing staff.
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting physician or other medical providers in providing care to in-clinic patients.
Duties include recording and updating medical histories and contact information in patient files, scheduling patient appointments and performing standard care procedures like drawing blood, checking vitals or collecting lab samples.
No pain management experience necessary, experience with EMR and medical Spanish a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival - Schedule and confirm patient appointments - Collect and update patient information in electronic medical records - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries - Assist with insurance verification and prior authorization process - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures - Proficient in using electronic medical record systems (Cerner a plus) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Job Types:
