9K a year Chief Industries' Corporate Office is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the Chief team.
This position assists the accounts payable supervisor in all areas of department responsibilities.
Performs general clerical duties for the accounting department.
Other areas of responsibility would include keeping accurate files, key punching, preparing journal entries and invoicing.
Job
Responsibilities:
Set up new vendor numbers.
Call vendors to verify any address changes to prevent fraud.
Assist with insurance certificate inputs and subcontractor registrations in all systems.
Enter journal entries.
Complete trade and bank references on all new and existing credit applications for outside vendors.
Assist with accounts payable invoice entry for all divisions of Chief.
Release wires in the bank.
Check and approve all IFS expense reports.
Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
Requires knowledge of office routines and basic accounting procedures; operation of equipment such as ten key calculator, computer, and typewriter, normally acquired with a high school education and 3-12 months of related experience or the equivalent Detail oriented with some accounting background Must have experience with Microsoft Excel and Word; also have copy machine knowledge The Company:
