Food Service Worker

Duties include, but may not be limited to:
Uses proper cleaning solutions to sanitize food preparation surfaces; Cleans walk-in refrigerators and freezers; Handles and stores sanitized dishes, glasses and silverware; Assists with rotation of stock, checking dates on food products, such as milk cartons; Makes sandwiches for cafeteria or buffet lines; Assembles and tosses fresh fruit and green salads; Uses proper utensils and containers to portion food items into serving sizes; Delivers meals to patients' bedside or patrons; Clears tables and carries trays of heavy dishes; Performs heavy duty cleaning tasks, such as ceilings and/or exhaust hoods; Scours and scrubs heavy cooking utensils such as mixing bowls and pots; Loads and operates a conveyor belt feeding dishwasher; Cleans work area by sweeping, mopping and emptying trash cans; Reads and follows instructions on menus, recipes, basic work instructions and safety data sheets; Performs other duties as necessary. Work Schedule:

The employee expends up to moderate energy in carrying trays, pushing tray carts and other carts, frequent lifting of food containers weighing 10-30 pounds, stacking dishes, and mopping floors. Spends significant amount of time standing and walking. Tray carts may be pushed long distances including corridors with ramps and sharp turns. Occasionally lifts up to 40 pounds. Duties require continuous standing, walking, and bending. Employee is subject to pressure of completing assignments in accordance with scheduling of activities. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Due to the nature of the food service environment, this position is required to work in areas which may be uncomfortably humid, warm and noisy. Employee will be regularly exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, hot working surfaces, and extreme temperatures in the hot kitchen, walk-in refrigerators and freezer, and while accessing outdoor garbage and recycling dumpsters. Employee will need to complete frequent hand washing and may have an increased risk of cuts, bruises and burns. Must use caution when working near wet floors. May be scheduled to work the early, late, or relief shift. Work is subject to some pressure to complete assignments with close time schedules. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
