Program Support Assistant (Extended Care and Rehab)

The position will support the CLC Program with performing a wide range of activities that may change periodically due to a variety of factors. The duties of the position include but are not limited to:
Practical knowledge of the purpose of EC&R professions, knowledge of VA and CLC mission and policies, VA's commitment to the Veterans and the agency programs and activities associated with this commitment. Proven administrative skills to assist with a wide variety of documents, reports, forms, general correspondence, & meeting minutes. Proficiency of excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, CPRS, VISTA, VSSC, & Maximo is necessary; and timekeeping in VATAS is highly desirable. Other duties include EIL (inventory) management; assisting the team with Performance Improvement (PI) and emergency preparedness. The ability to work independently, including setting priorities while coordinating work to meet competing deadlines. Must possess the ability to analyze records for deficiencies and maintain accurate databases. Provide superb customer service to elderly Veterans over the phone or in person. May receive phone calls and triage their priority before dispersing them to the members of the Program. Provide superb customer service to coworkers, CLC Team members, and all others. Performs other duties as assigned. A valid drivers license is required. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
preparing reports, utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, CPRS, VISTA, VSSC, Maximo, Outlook and serving as a Timekeeper using the VATAS system. Preparing memoranda, letters, policies and procedures, ordering supplies. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
