This position is located in the Director's Office. As the secretary to the Grand Island Site Director you will perform duties and assignments that include, but are not limited to:
Manages tasks and priorities to meet required timelines. Summaries information as needed to assist the Site Director. Serves as a backup to the Executive Secretaries in the Director's Suite.- Assists the Site Director's subordinates in task assignments and follow-up. Advises staff at various levels of the mission of the organization. Assigns Action Items to the subject matter experts, tracks to completion meeting suspense deadlines.- Is a liaison between the Site Director and subordinate services/ departments. Is knowledgeable of administrative and clinical services and its procedures and has a general knowledge of substantive programs of the office. Uses Microsoft Office applications -Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint Manages meeting minutes; including taking, editing and forwarding completed minutes to appropriate staff Effectively prepares and distributes accurate correspondence, reports and other products as needed. Must have excellent customer service skills as there will be constant contact with the public, staff, Veterans and Veterans' families, physicians, nurses, Central Office staff, Network Office staff and Veterans representatives. Will keep current on all policies and inform the Site Director of those pertaining to her services. Initiates all travel and travel requests for the Site Director and her direct reports using the Concur Travel Program. Serves as a timekeeper for the Site Director's staff. Screens calls and visitors referring them to the appropriate staff to help resolve concerns. Serves as the chemical inventory liaison for the Site Director's Office. Orders supplies for the Site Director's Office. Performs ADPAC duties for the Site Director and TRIAD staff. Serves as a sponsor for the PIV program. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Performance test results and certificates of proficiency are acceptable for 3 years. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
